Panipat is an ancient Indian city and it is also a very historic city. It comes under the Haryana State and is not very from Delhi. The city has a Ram Lal Chowk and there is also a statue of Ram Lal in the city center. He was the founder of the newspaper called Punjab Kesari, which revolutionized the nation when it was controlled and ruled by the British. The newspaper became a turning point in the history of India and it played a major role. The city is also known as the city of Weavers and also the city of textiles. It is also known as the cast off capital because the city has the biggest companies that recycle the textiles for a better use.

The city is one of the five cities that was founded by the Pandavas at the time of the Mahabharata. The city has also seen three main battles and it is also one of the five villages that the Pandavas asked from Duryodhan. The first battle of Panipat was fought in the year 1526 between Ibrahim Lodhi and the Sultan of Delhi and the warlord Babur. The second battle of Panipat was fought between Akbar and Chandra Vikramaditya in the year 1556. The third battle of Panipat was fought between Maratha Empire and the Balochi invaders and Afghans. The city has seen many battles.

Panipat is also rich in its heritage and it has a lot of museums and places of interest. The city is also a hub of small scale manufacturing industries, which are mainly of textiles like bed covers, blankets, bathmats, curtains, tapestry, durries etc. There are a lot of exporters in the city, who trade in foreign exchange. The battle of Panipat Memorial Society is also there, which was set up by the Government of Haryana and it showcases the highlights of the events of the battle. There is a Babur’s Kabuli Bagh Mosque, Ibrahim’s tomb, Hemu’s Samadhi Sthal and many other places of interest.
