Jodhpur, the second biggest city of Rajasthan, is located on the western side of Jaipur and renowned for magnificent forts, old temples, and princely palaces. Located near the stark landscape of Thar Desert, Jodhpur always experiences a sunny and bright weather all round the year and this is why the city is also known as the ‘Sun City’. As almost all the houses around the Mehrangarh fort are painted in vivid blue, the city even called the ‘Blue City’.
