Bangalore which is now known as Bengaluru is the capital of Karnataka. It is famous as the Garden city and is also the hub of the IT parks. Because of the IT parks, my city – Bengaluru is sometimes known as the Silicon Valley of India or the IT capital of India. A lot of companies like Infosys, Wipro, ISRO, and HAL have their headquarters based in this city. Bangalore is a beautiful city. Not just being an IT hub, Bengaluru is also the hub of Kannada Film Industry. The city has people from across the country and the-the people living in this city are very warm and welcoming.
Bangalore a city of technology, garden, and different ethnicities. The meaning of Bangalore portrays an anglicized transition of the Kannada language. Bangalore is also the name of a Village near the Kodegehalli and the Kempegowda copied the name. The modern Bangalore began in 1537 by Kempa Gowda and after its fall the systems in Bangalore changed much time. Bangalore then became a twin city in the 19th century and since then the city has just seen growth and development. Before becoming a part of Kannada, Bangalore was a part of the Mysore Dynasty and hence was ruled by Kings. Bangalore is now the capital of Karnataka. The proposal to change the name of Bangalore to Bengaluru was given on December 11, 2005, by the Government of Karnataka and the change was implanted on 1 November 2006. Since then Bangalore is known as Bengaluru.
Population in Bangalore
Bangalore has a population of about 8.42 million and it is a metropolitan city. It is the third most populated city in India. The city is the IT hub attracts a lot of people from across the country to come and settle in Bengaluru, which is also one of the reasons for its growing population.
My city – Bengaluru is famously called as the Garden city because of its beautiful gardens. Bangalore is also called as the Pub Capital of India or the Rock Metal Capital of India because it has a huge scene of underground music and it is amongst the best place to hold International concerts. It was also ranked as the 3rd best city in the world to visit by the Lonely Planet. Bengaluru follows the culture of Karnataka and the people living in the city follows all the traditions. Bangalore Karaga is amongst the oldest and the most important festivals of the city. They follow all the other festivals as well with great joy and pride.
The people living in my city – Bangalore speak Kannada, English, and Hindi. And because of many outsiders in the city, it is also open to the other language and the people even the localities despite being Non-Hindi speakers, understand the language.
